![]() ![]() ![]() Perhaps you need to be American to enjoy his voice. I would not call Reed McColm one of my favourite readers of Audio Books but I've heard a lot worse. What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike? To fully appreciate this story it is best to read the earlier books in this series, especially Grey Lensman which introduces the reader to the principal characters - Kinnison, Clarissa, Worsel, Tregonsee, Haynes and Lacy. Storywise I'd compare this book to the Martian novels of Burroughs as regards a story which moves along at an unflagging pace, with plenty of action on almost every page. What other book might you compare Second Stage Lensman to, and why? I shall certainly be adding further audio titles in this series. All in all though I quiet enjoyed listening. Reed McColm being an American and reading an American novel is a bit of a new experience for me as I've not heard many U.S. Where does Second Stage Lensman rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far? ![]()
